Delete PDF pages

Click the pages you want gone, check the count of what's left, and save a clean copy. Your original file stays as it was.

Your result

Open a PDF, then click the pages you want to remove.

How it works

The PDF opens in this browser tab and every page is shown as a thumbnail, drawn with pdf.js. Pages you mark are crossed out in red. When you save, the pages you kept are copied, in their original order, into a new PDF with pdf-lib, an open-source PDF library, and the new file goes to your downloads.

Pages in the new file = pages in the original − pages marked for deletion

Ways to mark pages

Worked example: trimming a bank statement

Your landlord wants proof of income, but the 8-page statement includes 3 pages of terms and a blank last page. Mark pages 6, 7, 8 by typing 6- and choosing Select. The summary shows 5 pages left and 3 to delete. Save, and send the 5-page copy.

Your file stays on your device

There is no upload step. The page loads its code once, then reads your PDF from disk into memory, builds the new copy in a background worker and hands it to your browser's downloads. Nothing is sent to a server or kept after you close the tab, which is why it is safe to use on statements, medical records and signed contracts. Password-protected files work too: the password is used only in this tab, and the saved copy has no password.

Questions people ask

How do I delete several pages at once?

Click each page you want gone; a red cross marks it, and clicking again keeps it. To mark many at once, type their numbers in the box above the thumbnails, for example "2, 5-9, 14", and choose Select. Odd and Even mark every other page, which helps when a scanner fed in blank backs.

Can I delete pages from a password-protected PDF?

Yes, as long as you know the password. Type it when the tool asks; it stays in this browser tab. The new PDF is saved without a password, so add one again afterwards if the file needs to stay locked.

Is my original PDF changed?

No. The original file on your device is never touched. The tool saves a new copy without the marked pages, named "your file pages removed.pdf" unless you change the name.

Does deleting pages make the file smaller?

Usually, because images and content that only appeared on the deleted pages are left out of the new file. Fonts or images shared with pages you keep are still needed, so removing 3 pages out of 30 rarely cuts the size by exactly a tenth.

Why can't I delete every page?

A PDF has to contain at least one page, so the tool stops you when every page is marked. If you want to throw the whole document away, delete the file itself.

Are bookmarks and form fields kept?

Page content, images, text and page rotation are kept exactly. The bookmarks outline is not copied to the new file, and fillable form fields can stop being fillable, so fill in a form before removing pages from it.
