About FixnFigure

Small tools for the jobs that interrupt your day: adding up a timesheet, pricing a pour of concrete, shrinking a PDF for an upload form, turning iPhone photos into something any computer opens.

Who builds it

FixnFigure is built and maintained by an independent developer. It isn't affiliated with any government agency, manufacturer or veterinary organization we cite.

What we build

There are 43 tools so far. Each does one job and shows its working. Calculators explain the formula under the result, so you can check the number yourself or show it to someone else. File tools run inside your browser: the PDF or photo you open is processed on your own device and is never uploaded to us. That also means there are no upload size caps or daily limits from our side; the only limit is your device's memory.

How we keep the numbers right

Calculator logic is covered by automated tests built from hand-worked examples, and pages show a worked example you can check. Where a rule comes from an official source, such as overtime law or passport photo sizes, we link to it. Pet tools are based on published veterinary references, which each page links. They are not reviewed by a veterinarian. If you spot a mistake, tell us through the contact page and we'll fix it.

What the tools are not

Results are estimates for planning. They are not tax, legal, engineering, medical or veterinary advice. For anything that matters (a payroll filing, a structural pour, a sick pet), check with a professional.

How the site is paid for

The tools are free with no account. In time the site will show advertising, which pays for hosting and new tools. Ads will never be placed between a tool's inputs and its result, or disguised as a result.

FixnFigure is built with open-source software. See the open-source licences.
