How it works

Pick the week and whether it starts on Monday or Sunday. Type meals into the boxes for each day; the day names in the form show the dates, so you know which Thursday you are planning. Then list what you need to buy. The preview is drawn from the same layout as the PDF, so what you see is what prints.

  • Landscape puts the seven days across the top and the meals down the side, with the grocery list in six columns along the bottom.
  • Portrait puts the days down the side and the meals across, with the grocery list in two rows of three sections.
  • Weekends are shaded so batch-cooking and leftover days stand out.

A 15-minute weekly meal plan

  1. Check the calendar first. Late meetings and practice nights need quick dinners or leftovers.
  2. Look in the fridge and freezer, and plan the first meals around what needs using up.
  3. Pick dinners, then fill in breakfasts and lunches. Repeating a breakfast all week is fine.
  4. Plan one night of leftovers. Cooking a double batch on Sunday covers Monday or Tuesday.
  5. Read down each day and write every ingredient you do not have into the grocery list.

Need serving weights for a recipe? The cooking measurement converter turns cups into grams. The weekly planner covers everything else in the week.

Questions people ask

How does the grocery list get sorted?

Type one item per line (or separate them with commas) and each one is put under a store section: produce, meat, fish & protein, dairy & eggs, pantry, frozen, other. The sorting looks for words like "chicken", "milk" or "frozen", so "frozen peas" goes to frozen and "peanut butter" to pantry. If it guesses wrong, start the line with the section name and a colon, such as "frozen: blueberries" or "dairy: oat milk".

Can I add my own meal rows?

Yes. Tick "Add my own rows" and name up to two, such as "Dessert", "Kids’ lunch box" or "Prep". They print under Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Snacks for every day of the week.

Does the week start on Sunday or Monday?

Your choice. Pick any date and the planner uses the week that holds it. If you switch the start day after typing, each meal moves with its day, so Tuesday’s dinner stays on Tuesday.

Will it fit on one page?

Yes, always one sheet: US Letter or A4, in landscape (days across the top) or portrait (days down the side). Long meal names wrap inside their box and are cut with "…" if they still do not fit. A crowded grocery section prints its first items and "+3 more".

Can I print a blank meal planner?

Yes. Tick "Print it blank" to print the grid and the grocery sections with no dates and nothing typed, then fill it in by hand.

Is my meal plan saved?

It is remembered in this browser only, so it is there when you come back. Nothing is uploaded, and the PDF is made on your device. "Start over" clears it.
